Virgin Hyperloop One

Virgin Hyperloop One

Hyperloop is a new mode of transportation that moves freight and people quickly, safely, on-demand, and direct from origin to destination. Passengers or cargo are loaded into the hyperloop vehicle and accelerate gradually via electric propulsion through a low-pressure tube. The vehicle floats above the track using magnetic levitation and glides at airline speeds for long distances due to ultra-low aerodynamic drag. California based Virgin Hyperloop One systems will be built on columns or tunneled below ground to avoid dangerous grade crossings and wildlife. It’s fully autonomous and enclosed, eliminating pilot error and weather hazards. It’s safe and clean, with no direct carbon emissions. What’s more – Virgin is planning on opening a hyperloop in the UAE, between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, to connect the two cities and drastically reduce travel time and cost. What was once an hour-and-a-half road trip can become a 12-minute hyperloop ride, making the two cities more integrated, cooperative, and collaborative.

Our methods support and continue to expand the integrated practice.

As an architectural firm, we’ve been looking for ways to streamline and give mundane tasks to a machine. The Onuma System has been in development for nearly two decades and it’s listed as one of the BIM software in the GSA BIM Guide. Our work with the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) OWS 4 Project puts the award-winning ONUMA System at the crux of BIM and GIS.

Support the Future

The USA Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai is a public-private-partnership (PPP) that unites the resources and reach of the public and private sectors. To be successful we must come together as a nation to fund, design, build, operate, and relocate our national pavilion in Dubai. And, as one of the largest partnerships currently being overseen by the Department of State, there is a special prominence to these efforts. This is our chance as a nation to show the world that the U.S. remains a leader in defining the future. That we engage and collaborate with all cultures. That we are open for business. When you make a tax-deductible gift you are funding more than a pavilion; you are helping define our shared national identity.
